The successful candidates will work closely with students and their families to provide comprehensive guidance throughout the university admissions process. This role involves assisting students in identifying suitable academic programs, preparing application materials, and navigating the complexities of the admissions process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations with students and families to assess academic goals, interests, and preferences.
- Provide personalized guidance on university selection, course options, and academic pathways based on students' profiles and aspirations.
- Assist students in preparing application materials, including personal statements, resumes/CVs, letters of recommendation, and supplementary essays.
- Offer guidance on standardized test preparation, including SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, and IELTS.
- Coordinate with universities and admissions officers to ensure timely submission of application materials and follow up on application status.
- Keep abreast of latest trends and developments in higher education and admissions requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress throughout the admissions process.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to students and families, addressing any concerns or questions that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from a QS top 30 university (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in educational consulting, college advising, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of the international higher education landscape, including admissions processes, academic programs, and university rankings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with educational software and online resources.
- Certification in college counseling or membership in relevant professional associations is a plus.
